The oil depot pipeline uses explosion-proof and anti-corrosion self-limiting temperature electric heating tape for insulation and anti-freeze

The oil in the oil depot is highly viscous and easily solidifies at low temperatures, requiring antifreeze and insulation. The Jidong oil depot area experiences low winter temperatures, reaching as low as -20.9°C. To ensure the normal operation of oil products at low temperatures, the process pipelines require heating cables to meet process requirements. The antifreeze principle of the pipeline heating cable system is that the heating cables, when energized, dissipate heat to compensate for heat loss in the oil pipeline. This lowers the oil's viscosity by increasing its temperature, thereby maintaining normal operation of the pipeline medium.

The oil depot is located in a flammable, explosive, and corrosive area, so the selection of heating cables requires consideration of both explosion and corrosion resistance. We chose explosion-proof and corrosion-resistant self-limiting heating cables. These cables can be wound and cut to any length, making them simple to install, safe, and reliable. Furthermore, the heating cables utilize pollution-free electricity, are silent during operation, and significantly save energy. Operation is also simple after installation, and even remote operation is possible without on-site operation.

This explosion-proof and corrosion-resistant self-limiting temperature heating cable features a metal braided layer for safety and grounding protection. It also has a fluoroplastic outer sheath for corrosion resistance, making it ideal for pipe insulation in industrial and chemical areas. Installation can be tailored to site requirements, either by winding or laying it straight. Combined with dedicated heating cable junction boxes, adhesive tape, and other accessories, the entire heating cable insulation system is complete.

This explosion-proof and corrosion-resistant self-limiting temperature heating cable is primarily used for insulating pipes, valves, and containers in industrial settings such as oil fields, refineries, and chemical plants. It is particularly suitable for short- to medium-distance pipeline insulation and for heating the extraction and transportation of high-viscosity, high-freezing-point petroleum products in oil fields where temperature requirements are less stringent.
