Tips and experience for installing electric heating cables

Tips and Experience for Installing Electric Heating Cables:
1. Improper use of electric heating and insulation systems can easily lead to system failure or shorten the lifespan of the heating system. This also applies to the installation of electric heating systems. Irrational and non-compliant construction procedures can easily cause problems with the entire heating system, affecting its proper operation.
2. Before laying the heating cables, test the insulation resistance of each cable.
3. Before installing each heating system, verify that the model of the heating cable and its accessories is consistent with the design and testing results.
4. Inspect the materials to be installed, such as the end caps and power junction boxes, for integrity and damage.
5. Before installing the heating cables, the piping system must be installed and all necessary flaw detection, pressure testing, and concealed inspection work must be completed. The piping system coating must be practical, and the gas volatilization time must exceed the specified time.
6. Pay special attention to unevenness and sharp corners that could damage the heating cables and address them promptly.

7. When installing self-limiting temperature heating cables, use a stable cable rack to support the cable tray and lay the heating cables. The heating cables must not be bent or dragged on sharp corners. The ends of the heating cables must be equipped with protective caps to prevent water from entering during installation.

8. Special heating cables, such as those designed for corrosion resistance and explosion resistance, must undergo appropriate inspections.

9. Protect the self-limiting heating elements around the two conductors from damage and pay attention to handling procedures.

10. Improper installation methods, including incorrect component installation, can easily damage the heating cables during installation, or connecting the conductors of two heating cables together can cause a short circuit.

11. Never use polyvinyl chloride or conventional tape to secure self-limiting temperature heating cables. Heating accessories come with corresponding product instructions, which must be strictly followed.
