Twin-screw extruder safety operating procedures

1. Employees must dress according to regulations. They are prohibited from consuming alcohol before starting work. Female employees are prohibited from wearing high heels. Hair should be tied up and tucked into their caps to prevent falls or hair getting caught in equipment.
2. Equipment operators must undergo qualified training before operating. It is prohibited to operate equipment that is not their responsibility or that they are unfamiliar with.
3. Equipment operation must strictly follow the equipment manual.
4. Before starting the extruder, check the gear oil level in the upper and lower shaft gearboxes, the water level in the water cooler, and the water level in the laser coder to ensure they meet the specified requirements. The water cooler and laser coder must be filled with purified water. Check the integrity of the gear and bearing guards, the feed belt and feed port for dry material, and the air pressure to ensure it meets the required requirements.
5. If a malfunction occurs while operating the equipment and requires stopping to troubleshoot, the equipment must be stopped. If power must be disconnected, a no-operation sign must be displayed or a designated person must supervise the operation to prevent accidental startup or shutdown, which could cause personal injury.
6. After a power outage, do not touch the transmission components or any parts of the equipment that could cause personal injury (such as bearings, gears, cutting wire, etc.) without first disconnecting the power cord or taking protective measures to prevent the equipment from restarting due to a sudden power outage.
7. Electrical faults in the extruder must be repaired by an electrician only. Do not touch any buttons with wet hands to prevent electric shock.
8. Before starting the machine, check the upper and lower shaft bushing screws for looseness and the sponge for damage that could affect extrusion quality. Use a level to check that the bottom edge of the discharge port, the discharge belt, the rollers, the cutting belt, and the clamping belt are at the same height and that the belts are not running off track. Check the limit switches and power switches for proper operation, as well as the various pressure gauges.
9. While the laser is operating, do not look directly into the emitted or reflected laser light to prevent eye damage. Wear protective glasses when working.
10. Do not place flammable materials in the laser marking machine's optical path or where the laser beam may be exposed. If the laser beam hits flammable materials, it may cause a fire or even an explosion.
Extruder Operation
1. Before starting the machine, prepare all necessary tools and materials, including extrusion material, cartons, carton end caps, pallets, and a primary drying cart. Prepare the mold designated by the mold manager.
2. Before starting the machine, first open the inlet and outlet valves of the circulating cooling water tank, press pump and compressor 1, and start the water cooler.
3. Open the valve connecting the vacuum line to the upper extrusion chamber, close the upper extrusion chamber vent valve, start the vacuum pump, and wait until the vacuum reaches 1.0 before adding material.
4. Start the lower shaft motor and confirm that it is functioning properly, then start the belt and upper shaft motor. If operating continuously and confirming that the lower shaft is functioning properly, start the belt and upper shaft motor first, then start the lower shaft motor.
5. Start the automatic cutter: Press the start button. The program running indicator will light, indicating normal operation. To stop the automatic cutter, press the stop button.
6. Starting the Extruder Manipulator: Turn on the power. If the air pressure indicator is normal, the manipulator cylinder up/down movement indicator and the clamping/releasing indicator lights are all on, and the upper slide positioning and deceleration indicators are also on, the manipulator is operating normally. Manipulator Shutdown: When the manipulator stops in position, turn off the power to shut it down.
7. To shut down the extruder, first stop the belt motor, then the upper and lower shaft motors in sequence. Finally, close the valve connecting the vacuum line to the upper extrusion chamber, open the upper extrusion chamber vent valve, and turn off the vacuum pump.
8. If the extruder is shut down for more than two hours, the mold should be disassembled and cleaned. If the extruder is shut down for less than two hours, disassembly and cleaning are not required, but spray water and cover with plastic wrap to prevent solidification and clogging of the mold. 9. Control the material level in the vacuum chamber. The upper limit must not exceed the limiter, and the lower limit must not protrude beyond the extruder screw. Always monitor the material level in the feed port to avoid excessive material from falling. Always monitor the equipment for any abnormalities. Regularly check the water level in the water cooling tank to see if it needs to be refilled.
10. The mold must be cleaned promptly after each disassembly. If not in use, the cleaned mold should be immediately dried and placed in protective oil for maintenance.
