Use of five common drying equipment

Drying equipment has wide applications in many fields, such as chemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries. Below are five commonly used drying equipment types and their usage methods:

1. Vacuum Freeze Drying Equipment:

Equipment Composition: Mainly composed of a refrigeration system, vacuum system, heating system, and electrical instrumentation control system. Key components include a drying chamber, condenser,

refrigeration unit, vacuum pump, and heating/cooling device.

Usage Method: Place the items to be dried in the drying chamber. Pre-freeze the items using the refrigeration system, then activate the vacuum and heating systems,

allowing the items to undergo sublimation drying in a vacuum environment.

Application Areas: Widely used in chemical, pharmaceutical, agricultural and forestry product, grain, and light industry sectors.

2. Spray Drying Equipment:

Equipment Features: The most widely used process in liquid processing and drying industries.

Usage Method: Liquid materials are atomized into small droplets by an atomizer, and then dried under the action of hot air to obtain a dried product.

Application Areas: Mainly used for processing liquid materials, such as in the food, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries.

3. Drum Scraper Dryer:

Features: This dryer uses a rotating drum to dry liquid or strip-shaped materials adhering to its outer wall via heat conduction.

Usage: Apply the material to the outer wall of the drum. The rotation of the drum and heat conduction gradually remove moisture during the drying process.

Applications: Primarily used for processing liquid materials such as coatings, paints, and dyes.

4. Hollow Paddle Dryer (Blade Dryer):

Features: Mainly composed of a jacketed W-shaped shell, two hollow paddle shafts, and a transmission system. The heat required for drying is conducted to the material through the inner wall of the jacketed W-shaped groove and the walls of the hollow blades.

Usage: Add the material to the equipment. The transmission device drives the hollow paddle shafts to rotate, causing the material to be agitated while being subjected to heat conduction,

thus achieving drying.

Applications: Suitable for highly viscous materials that are prone to clumping, such as sludge and ointments.

5. Mixing Machinery Equipment:

Equipment Features: Reduces labor intensity and improves work efficiency; suitable for multiple industries.

Usage Method: Select a suitable mixing machine based on the properties of the material. Add the material to the equipment and mix it through stirring, rotation, etc., to

achieve a uniform drying effect.

Application Areas: Widely used in chemical, food, pharmaceutical, and pesticide industries.

When using these drying equipment, it is necessary to pay attention to the operating procedures and safety precautions to ensure the normal operation of the equipment and the safety of the operators. Furthermore,
