The following are the common sealing materials for the insulation layer of the straight stainless steel electric heating ring:
Sealant
Silicone sealant: It has good high temperature resistance and can be used for a long time in the temperature range of -50℃ to 200℃, and can withstand a high temperature of 250℃ in the short term. It has good adhesion to stainless steel and insulation materials, can form a firm sealing layer, and effectively prevent air and moisture from entering the insulation layer. At the same time, silicone sealant also has excellent weather resistance and chemical corrosion resistance, is not easy to age and crack, and has a long service life.
Polyurethane sealant: It has high bonding strength and elasticity, and can adapt to the deformation of the insulation layer during thermal expansion and contraction. It has good sealing performance, can effectively block air and water vapor, and has certain thermal insulation performance, which can help improve the insulation effect. Polyurethane sealant has outstanding low temperature resistance and can maintain good flexibility and sealing performance in a low temperature environment of -40℃.
Sealing tape
Aluminum foil tape: It is made of aluminum foil as the base material and coated with pressure-sensitive adhesive. It has good high temperature resistance, can withstand high temperatures of 100℃ - 150℃, can effectively reflect heat and reduce heat radiation. The aluminum foil tape has good sealing performance and can fit tightly on the surface of the insulation layer to prevent air leakage. At the same time, it also has certain moisture-proof and corrosion-resistant properties, which can protect the insulation layer from the influence of the external environment.
Butyl rubber tape: It has excellent weather resistance, water resistance and sealing performance. It has strong adhesion and can be firmly attached to the surface of stainless steel and insulation materials to form a reliable seal. Butyl rubber tape has good elasticity and can adapt to the slight deformation of the insulation layer. It is not easy to crack or fall off during long-term use. Its operating temperature range is generally between - 40℃ and 120℃.
Sealing ring
Silicone rubber sealing ring: It has good high and low temperature resistance and can work normally in the temperature range of - 60℃ to 200℃. The silicone rubber sealing ring has good elasticity, small compression deformation, and can maintain a good sealing effect under different pressures. It is non-corrosive to stainless steel and insulation materials, and has good chemical resistance and ozone resistance, suitable for various harsh environments.
Fluororubber sealing ring: It has excellent high temperature resistance, oil resistance and chemical corrosion resistance, can be used for a long time in high temperature environments above 200℃, and has good tolerance to a variety of chemical media. The sealing performance of the fluororubber sealing ring is reliable, which can effectively prevent the leakage of oil, gas and chemicals, and is suitable for occasions with high sealing requirements.
When selecting sealing materials, it is necessary to comprehensively consider factors such as the working temperature, environmental conditions, insulation material characteristics and sealing requirements of the straight-tube stainless steel electric heating ring to ensure the sealing effect and service life of the insulation layer.
