What are the troubleshooting methods for wear-resistant thermocouples?
Leave a message
1, Fault phenomenon: The thermoelectric potential is smaller than it should be, and the instrument reading is lower.
Possible reasons:
1. Internal electrode leakage or short circuit of wear-resistant thermocouple;
2. Short circuit in the terminal block of wear-resistant thermocouple junction box;
3. Wear resistant thermocouple wire or measuring end damaged;
Repair method:
1. Remove the thermoelectric electrode and check for the cause of leakage. If it is caused by moisture, the thermoelectric electrode should be dried. If the insulation of the insulation tube is poor, it should be replaced;
2. Open the junction box and clean the terminal posts to eliminate the cause of the short circuit.
3. Cut off the deteriorated parts, re weld the measuring end or replace the temperature sensing element with a new one.
2, Fault phenomenon: The indicating instrument has no indication.
Possible cause: Open circuit of wear-resistant thermocouple
Repair method:
1. Remove the temperature sensing element, and if there is an open circuit at the measuring end, re weld it.
2. If the circuit is broken due to deterioration, cut off the deteriorated part, re weld the measuring end or replace the temperature sensing element with a new one.
3, Fault phenomenon: The instrument reading is unstable, and the instrument itself is not faulty.
Possible reasons:
1. Poor contact between temperature sensing components and compensation wires inside the junction box.
2. The thermoelectric electrode exhibits open and continuous short circuits, as well as intermittent grounding.
3. The wear-resistant thermocouple vibrates due to improper installation.
Repair method:
1. Open the junction box, reconnect and tighten it.
2. Remove the temperature sensing element, identify the intermittent short circuit or grounding part, and eliminate it.
3. Install the wear-resistant thermocouple firmly.
