What Are the Unified Industry Inspection Standards for Finished Hot Runner Thermocouples
Leave a message
The injection molding accessory industry has developed unified factory inspection standards to guaranty stable and consistent quality of finished hot runner thermocouples. Before leaving the factory, all qualified products must pass stringent multi-item performance tests, which also serve as a crucial foundation for product acceptance by buyers.
The first is the calibration standard for temperature precision. Perform a full-range temperature detection test spanning typical hot runner working intervals in a laboratory setting with a constant temperature. To guarantee outstanding detection consistency, the temperature measurement error of finished items within 180°C to 350°C must be controlled within ±0.5°C, and the difference between repeated detection data must not exceed 0.3°C.
The second is the test standard for high-temperature aging resistance. For a continuous 500-hour baking test, place thermocouples in high-temperature constant temperature equipment in accordance with the maximum specified operating temperature. Following the test, internal wire breakage, insulation layer melting, and probe structural deformation must not occur, and the thermal drift value must not beyond the designated range.
Physical structure and sealing performance standards come in third. With smooth and perfect welding locations, the overall size, thread specification, insertion depth, and bending angle must all fully adhere to industry general drawing standards. Products that are completely sealed must pass an air tightness test with no internal moisture penetration or air leaks. To guaranty strong tensile resistance and anti-fracture capabilities, repeatedly bend and stretch connected wires.
Inspection for environmental adaptation and anti-corrosion is the fourth. To conduct an atomization erosion test, simulate the corrosive gas environment produced by plastic melting. The probe surface should not exhibit visible oxidation and corrosion processes after a given amount of erosion, and the temperature sensing capability should stay constant. Additionally, each final product must pass the on-site controller matching compatibility test, the polarity correctness inspection, and the signal output consistency inspection.
Thermocouples can only be formally introduced to the market if they fully satisfy all of the aforementioned industry inspection requirements. Strict factory inspection ensures the overall matching stability of hot runner temperature control systems, efficiently removes unqualified inferior products from the source, and establishes the groundwork for the industry's standardized and organized growth.
