What to do if the sensor still has a deviation after deep cleaning?

Irreversible aging damage is indicated if a divergence still exists after comprehensive cleaning. The degree of the divergence determines the solution:

1. Deviation ≤ 0.25%FS (within the nominal accuracy range): Turn on automatic compensation and keep using it.

You can activate the injection molding machine's daily zero-point automatic correction feature if the variation is still within the permitted range. This will enable the system to automatically correct small drifts every day. Every two days, simultaneously retest the accuracy. This usually enables steady use for an additional one to two months, which is ideal for the transitional phase while awaiting the delivery of a new sensor.

2. Deviation between 0.25% and 0.5%FS (slightly over the limit): Adjust installation stress and carry out an additional calibration.

Deviation is frequently brought on by uneven installation tension. To reduce installation stress, you can remove the sensor, loosen the mounting threads, realign it, and then tighten it again to the tension indicated in the instruction manual. After that, do a thorough recalibration. This can typically return the deviance to the permissible range and keep it there for another month or so.

3. Deviation > 0.5%FS (Severely Exceeding Standard): Install a replacement sensor right away. This condition suggests that the diaphragm has experienced irreversible corrosion fatigue. The condition can only be temporarily maintained by any remedy, and the deviation will quickly surpass the standard once more. Continued use might easily result in product batch failure or possibly leakage and hot runner damage. For the safest method, it is advised to stop the machine and replace it right away.
