What to pay attention to when using a new oven for the first time and how to clean it later on

1. New oven
After purchasing the oven, for the first time, bake it at 250 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes to remove the smell from the new machine.
2. Cleaning the oven requires a long and smooth flow of water
Especially after making meat dishes such as grilled chicken legs, wings, and ribs, the smell of oil stains inside the oven can be quite heavy. If the inner walls, grill mesh, grill plate, and chassis of the oven are not cleaned in a timely manner, they become heavily oiled and difficult to remove.
Therefore, after each roasting, wait for the temperature inside the oven to drop to around 50 degrees Celsius (the temperature is not too hot). You can proceed with the cleaning work. Cleaning must be carried out with power off and partial cooling.
The temperature inside the oven when the work is just completed is often as high as 150 degrees Celsius, which cannot be cleaned immediately. On the one hand, it may cause burns, and on the other hand, sudden cooling during cleaning has a negative impact on the maintenance of the internal accessories of the oven.
3. Exquisite steps for oven cleaning
Step 1: (It is best to wear gloves) Remove the detachable parts inside the oven, such as the baking net, baking tray, and chassis, and then wash them with a neutral detergent. In areas with particularly heavy oil stains, oil fume purifiers can be used to remove heavy oil stains from the kitchen for key areas.
Step 2: Place an old newspaper next to the door of the oven, and use a dry towel gourd pulp or small bamboo brush to completely remove any burnt debris from the oven.
Step 3: The heating tube inside the oven must be gently wiped with a dry cloth, and cannot be wiped with a damp cloth to avoid affecting the insulation of the heating tube and causing leakage and short circuit. Please note that except for the detachable parts, the interior of the oven cannot be directly rinsed with water.
Step 4: If the heating tube and protective net are found to be dirty, it is difficult to wipe them clean with a soft dry cloth, and do not use rough cleaning tools such as steel wire balls or frosted cleaning balls to wipe them. If any steel wire or frosted particles fall into the heating tube, it can cause an unpleasant and unpleasant burning smell during barbecue, or even cause a short circuit in the entire circuit. You can try wiping with a strong cleaning nylon cloth.
Step 5: After cleaning the heating tube, you can start cleaning the outer shell and inner liner of the oven. Dip a cloth in a diluent of neutral detergent and wring it slightly dry, then wipe the body shell with a wet wipe. After cleaning, dip in the diluent once again, wring it slightly dry, wrap it around your hand and reach into the oven to wipe off the oil stains. Finally, rinse and dry with clean water, then wipe twice.
4. Special cleaning of ovens and grills
(1) Heavy dirt on baking pans: baking pans often have burnt dirt, which can be quickly removed by using various waste cards.
(2) Quickly clean the burnt dirt on the baking net by using the friction force of tin foil paper to brush it away. Remember to use tin foil as a cleaning tool by rubbing it before use, as this can increase the friction of the tin foil.
5. Use the 'cute cleaning stick' to deal with the interior of the oven that is out of reach
Tie a cloth to the tip of the long chopsticks and secure the cloth with a leather cover. It can be made into a round headed cleaning rod for wiping flat surfaces or a pointed cleaning rod for wiping edges and corners.
(1) Dip in detergent to remove oil stains: Wet the round head cleaning stick with water and use detergent to wipe stains on the inner walls of the oven.
(2) Use a pointed cleaning stick to wipe off stains at the edges and corners: The stains on the four sides and corners of the oven can be cleaned using a pointed cleaning stick according to the previous method.
6. Cleverly removing the oily smell from the oven
Frequently used ovens may have an "old oily taste" or "oily taste". To remove this unpleasant smell, in addition to thoroughly cleaning the food after each roasting and opening the door to allow the oven to dry naturally, the following methods can also be used to remove the oily taste:
(1) Place a bowl of lemonade or 1:1 white vinegar water, open the container and dry bake at around 100 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes. The taste can be removed immediately.
(2) After the baking tray cools down, pour 50mI of warm water and a small amount of detergent into the baking tray, cover the lid of the baking tray and plug it in. Adjust the time knob to 10 minutes, and the hot air circulation can automatically clean the dirt inside the baking tray. Remove the plug and wait for the baking tray to cool, then rinse the baking tray with warm water.
To prevent oil spills and reduce the burden of cleaning the oven, it is also simple: wrapping meat dishes that may fly into hot oil during the baking process with foil paper not only ensures crispness on the outside but also prevents oil stains on the oven.
7. Quick cleaning of oven wires
To quickly clean the wires of the oven, simply put nylon gloves on your hand, dip a small amount of toothpaste, rub the wires with your fingers, and then wipe them clean with a cloth.
