1. Low cost products used in high-temperature equipment
Low end heating tube products may only cost a few yuan, while good products are much more expensive, which is a very normal phenomenon due to different materials used. The country has been implementing a market economy for nearly 30 years, and the raw material market is becoming increasingly transparent. We can be certain that expensive products may not necessarily use good materials, but cheap products must not use good materials.
Can you imagine it? A small heating tube requires more than 10 types of materials, and a slight problem with one of the materials may result in the entire batch of products being scrapped. Materials are one of the important reasons for price and service life differences:
At high temperatures, the stainless steel shell oxidizes and causes the surface to peel off, resulting in a darker color on the surface. This is a normal phenomenon. But unsuitable shell materials can accelerate the oxidation process and shorten the service life, such as using materials with high impurities as conventional materials or materials in low-temperature environments in high-temperature equipment. Using Incoloy 800 at high temperatures would be a better choice.
Resistance wires will face strong electrical loads and withstand high temperatures during operation. Similarly, resistance wires can also accelerate oxidation when exposed to high temperatures, so it is important to choose resistance wires that can withstand higher temperatures in order to achieve a longer service life.
Magnesium oxide is the insulation material at the core of the heating tube, filled between the sheath and the resistance wire to transfer heat while avoiding short circuits between the shell and the resistance wire. Especially at high temperatures, high-purity magnesium oxide needs to be used. High purity magnesium oxide not only transfers the heat emitted by the resistance wire to the shell, but also has excellent insulation performance.
2. The installation gap between the heating tube and the mold hole is incorrect
Incorrect installation clearance can easily cause damage to the heating tube. Especially high-power electric heating tubes have stricter requirements for the size of installation holes. Imagine this incorrect usage scenario: the heating tube is inserted into a large mold hole, and due to the large installation gap, most of the surface of the heating tube is in contact with air. The heat emitted by the heating tube is first transferred to the air and then to the mold, greatly reducing efficiency. As a result, the heating tube needs to emit twice the heat and undergo inefficient transmission to meet the mold's operating temperature, It goes without saying how severe the loss of this heating tube is.
The diameter tolerance of a single head heating tube for heat waves can be controlled within ± 0.02mm. Generally, the gap between the heating tube and the mold hole should be less than 0.1mm (i.e. within 0.05mm on one side). For example, for a heating tube with a diameter of 10mm, the hole should be within 10.1mm.
