Will hot runner sensor zero-point drift affect production?

Indeed, output will be impacted. The size of the drift has a direct bearing on the impact's intensity:
Only a tiny pressure inaccuracy is caused by slight drift (deviation < 0.1%FS), which has no effect on production. In most cases, it won't result in product flaws, and the effects can be mitigated by recalibration.
Inaccurate pressure measurements will result from moderate drift (deviation 0.1%~0.5%FS). The actual melt pressure will differ from the pressure that the injection molding machine system displays. This could result in improper injection molding process modifications, which could impact the yield rate by causing issues like flash, inadequate glue, and dimensional deviations.
Serious process errors will result from severe drift (deviation > 0.5%FS). For instance, the system may show normal pressure even when the actual pressure exceeds the limit. This could eventually result in mold swelling, batch scrapping of products, or even damage to the hot runner.
If drift is not handled, it will eventually get worse because of the buildup of deviation. It is advised to calibrate as soon as drift is discovered. Replace the sensor directly if there is significant drift.
