Considerations for Design in the Flange Electric Heating Industry
Construction:
1. When designing components, flange heating pipe manufacturers should consider the effects of thermal expansion, erosion, oxidation, and creep to prevent deformation and other failures during normal operation.
2. The internal structure of the component should be designed to ensure that the materials used in its manufacturing are not damaged by high temperatures or the high temperatures that may be encountered during processing, and that it can still operate reliably.
3. The weld structure design of the component should comply with relevant standards. Welds in pressure-bearing components, especially those inside the container, should be minimal and located for easy inspection.
4. The design of the pressure-bearing component housing and its accessories must comply with relevant standards.
5. For components with spiral cooling fins at both ends, the fins should completely cover the component's heating length along the axial direction. The inner diameter of the fins should be matched to the outer diameter of the component's metal tube, and the ends should be spot welded to the metal tube wall.
6. The component (including the ends) must be sealed.
Note: By agreement, temporary sealing measures or no sealing may be used at the ends, and the sealing performance of the ends is not evaluated. 7. Components used for heating corrosive media must use corrosion-resistant metal tubes or have protective sleeves to ensure component life.
8. When the housing is made of ordinary steel or other alloys with superior performance to ordinary steel, the wall thickness must be no less than 0.35mm. When the housing is made of copper or other alloys, it must possess appropriate mechanical strength to withstand harsh operating environments.
9. The component's bending radius must be no less than 2.5 times the tube diameter.
10. The component's bending shape must ensure that the inner end of the lead pin is on the straight portion of the tube and the distance from the bend start point must be no less than 10mm.
11. In components with a potential difference greater than 40V, the gap between two current-carrying parts and between the current-carrying part and the housing, as well as the thickness of the insulating filler, must be no less than 1mm. The distance between the exposed lead pin and the housing must be no less than 1mm.
Note: By agreement, the above gaps and distances may be less than 1mm, but this requires enhanced design and careful manufacturing to ensure performance and reliability.
12. The length of the component lead pin inside the tube must be no less than that specified in Table 3. 13. The cross-sectional area of ​​the element lead rod should not be less than 7 times the cross-sectional area of ​​the heating wire.
