Exhibition Introduction
The Norwegian Offshore Oil and Gas Exhibition (ONS) in 2024 will be held from August 26 to August 29, 2024. The exhibition will be held at the Stavanger Forum in Norway, hosted by the Norwegian Ministry of Energy. The exhibition will be held every two years, covering an area of 50000 square meters, with 50000 attendees and 800 exhibitors and brands.
Norway is an important oil industry country in Northern Europe, and the related scientific and technological level driven by the oil industry is in a leading position in the world. After the discovery of oil on the Norwegian continental shelf in the late 1960s, the emergence of the oil industry became the main driving force for Norway's economic development.
Since the beginning of oil production in the early 1970s, the scale of oil production has increased significantly. Norway has now become the sixth largest oil producer in the world and the third largest oil exporter in the world after Saudi Arabia and Russia.
After the 1970s, due to the development of the North Sea oil field, the exhibition host city, Stavanger, became a base for the maintenance and logistics of oil and gas field facilities and ships. Now the city has become Norway's famous "oil capital of the North Sea.".
In its monthly update report in March 2012, the Norwegian National Bureau of Statistics stated that, driven by high oil prices, Norway's investment in the oil and gas sector this year will hit a new record high, reaching a record 186 billion Norwegian kronor (US $33.3 billion). An increase of 27% over last year.
