Analysis and Treatment of Common Failures in Glass Kilns

1、 Glass kiln power failure:
When encountering a power outage, first adjust the main valve of the flue to keep the kiln pressure at a stable state, to prevent excessive negative pressure from pumping cold air and causing a significant decrease in temperature.
Adjust the push head of the feeder upward to avoid burning out.
During this period, pay attention to checking the status of various parts of the kiln. If the power outage lasts too long and the temperature drops below 1200 ℃, immediately check whether the top wires of the kiln roof, tongue arch, and regenerator roof are loose.
After starting the generator, first open the control system and primary and secondary air fans to ensure that the melting temperature is reached, adjust the frequency of the induced draft fan and the flue valve to maintain a stable state of kiln pressure. Turn on the feeder and feeder to ensure the glass level, and turn on the cooling fans at various parts of the kiln to ensure the normal and safe operation of the kiln.
After normal power supply, operate according to daily procedures.
If the glass level drops too much, change the feeder to manual feeding mode. When restoring the liquid level, do not add materials too quickly in a short period of time. The distribution of material return positions should be uniform, and gradually restore the liquid level.
7. The feeder cannot be used for feeding due to long-term power failure, and requires manual feeding by the operator.
2、 Glass kiln reversing fault:
Before reversing operation, the fuel body should be replaced first, and then the air. Do not reverse the order.
If a fault occurs during the commutation process, manually operate the commutation, and then find the cause after the commutation. If the manual commutation is not successful, immediately report to the on-duty leader and organize relevant staff to find and repair the fault.
3. If the gas commutation is successful, the air commutation fails. Reset the gas commutator and restore it to its original position. Wait for troubleshooting and repair before reversing.
4. Failure to reverse direction for a long time will result in uneven temperature in the regenerators on both sides. After the commutation fault is repaired, it is necessary to adjust the commutation time to equalize the temperature on both sides before returning to the normal commutation time.
3、 Water supply failure of glass kiln:
When encountering a water stop, adjust the feeder pusher in a timely manner to avoid burning out of the feeder pusher due to lack of water. If necessary, it is necessary to manually push the material.
If the water supply is stopped for a long time and the pusher cannot be used to push the material, it is necessary to manually push the material to prevent the liquid level from dropping due to improper feeding. If the liquid level drops too much, it is necessary to notify the bottle making workshop to adjust the discharge amount in a timely manner, or even stop small amounts of material to avoid causing greater impact.
4、 Material leakage or roof collapse accident of glass kiln:
1. When finding any leakage or roof collapse in the kiln, immediately report to the leader on duty, notify relevant personnel to take remedial measures, and report to the superior.
In case of material leakage, immediately cut off the power supply and close the gas tanks around the kiln to avoid causing a fire or even a chain accident of gas tank explosion. The kiln cooling fan should be kept in operation as much as possible.
3. Immediately organize personnel to use fire hydrants, flush and plug the leaks with high-pressure water, and protect the kiln columns.
4. Use sand to enclose the leaked material to prevent it from flowing around equipment such as the bottle making machine and gas tank, so as to allow the leaked material to flow into the pool bottom and designated locations.
If there is material leakage at the operating position, a punch or high-pressure water pipe should be used to plug it. If it is not possible to approach, it is important to ensure life safety.
Stop feeding immediately.
7. Immediately reduce the primary and secondary air, reduce the temperature, and pay attention to stabilizing the kiln pressure.
When the kiln roof collapses or leaks material, the bottle making machine immediately raises the speed and increases the discharge amount.
9. Seal the leaking material to prevent continuous leakage.
5、 Gas leakage accident of glass kiln:
If a gas leakage poisoning accident occurs, rescue immediately.
2. Quickly transfer the poisoned person to the vent for manual rescue, and promptly send them to a nearby hospital.
After a gas poisoning accident occurs, rescue the poisoned person immediately and seal the gas leakage site.
