Application of heating pads in medical equipment

There are many types of heating elements, each with different properties and applications. Silicone heating elements, non-woven fabric heating elements, and ceramic heating elements are widely used in medical devices for heating and heat preservation due to their stable performance, safety, reliability, and health benefits. Below is a brief introduction to the different applications of these types of heating elements in medical devices.

Silicone heating elements are primarily used in medical devices such as blood analyzers, test tube heaters, medical shapewear, and slimming belts for heat compensation. Silicone heating elements, also known as silicone rubber heating elements, are made of two sheets of fiberglass cloth and two sheets of pressed silicone. The safety of silicone heating elements lies in the fact that while conventional flat heating elements are primarily carbon-based, silicone heaters are composed of aligned nickel alloy resistance wires, making them safer and more reliable.

Non-woven fabric heating elements are heating blanket elements in which heating wires are bonded between two sheets of non-woven fabric. Many shawl massagers, massage belts, and backrest massagers are made of non-woven heating elements. These elements are lightweight, safe and hygienic, easy to design and install, offer uniform heat transfer, are affordable, have a long lifespan, and can be customized to the shape of the heated surface. They are ideal heating elements for various low-temperature surface heating applications.

Ceramic heating elements are high-temperature co-fired ceramic heating elements. They offer advantages such as high-temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, long lifespan, excellent thermal conductivity, high energy efficiency, uniform temperature distribution, and rapid thermal compensation. Furthermore, they are free of harmful substances such as lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls, and polybrominated diphenyl ethers, meeting environmental standards. Due to these characteristics, ceramic heating elements are widely used in medical devices requiring medium- and low-temperature heating, such as IV fluid heaters and infrared therapy devices.
