Silicone heating pads, also known as silicone rubber heating sheets (heating plates), are called silicone rubber heating pads, electric heating films, electric heating tapes, electric heating sheets, oil drum heaters, heating belts, heating plates, etc., and are composed of two sheets of fiberglass cloth and double-layered silicone rubber pressed together. Because silicone heating pads are thin sheet products (typically 1.5mm thick), they have excellent flexibility and can make complete and tight contact with the object being heated. Their flexibility makes them easier to conform to the heating element, and their shape can be customized to meet heating requirements, allowing heat to be transferred to any desired location. While typical planar heating elements are primarily composed of carbon, silicone heaters are composed of arranged nickel alloy resistance wires, making them safe to use. Their planar shape can be manufactured into various shapes as required. Silicone heating pads are flexible, bendable, thin sheet-like electric heating devices. They are made by evenly distributing foil-like or filamentous metal heating elements between fiberglass cloth coated with high-temperature resistant silicone rubber and then molding them at high temperature. Silicone heating elements are typically 0.8–1.5 mm thick and lightweight, generally weighing 1.3–1.9 kg per square meter. They heat up rapidly upon energization, offering a large and uniform heating surface. They are weather-resistant, corrosion-resistant, environmentally friendly, flame-retardant, easy to install, have a long lifespan, and high insulation strength. Silicone heating elements are widely used in industries such as providing thermal environments for outdoor communication equipment, outdoor insulation and antifreeze, heating chemical equipment, pipeline antifreeze, insulation of backup batteries for outdoor equipment, medical applications, and solar energy equipment.
