Application scope of pt100 thermal resistor in industry

Although pt100 thermal resistors are widely used in industry, their application is limited by their temperature measurement range. The temperature measurement principle of pt100 thermal resistors is based on the characteristic that the resistance value of conductors or semiconductors changes with temperature. It has many advantages, such as remote transmission of electrical signals, strong stability, good interchangeability and accuracy, but it requires power excitation and cannot measure temperature changes instantaneously. Industrial thermal resistors generally use Pt100, Pt10, Cu50, Cu100. The temperature measurement range of platinum thermal resistors is generally minus 200-800℃, and that of copper thermal resistors is minus 40 to 140℃. Thermal resistors are distinguished by the same type as thermocouples, but they do not require compensation wires and are cheaper than explosion-proof thermocouples. 1. The temperature measurement principle of pt100 thermal resistor is based on the property that the resistance of the conductor (or semiconductor) changes with temperature. The measurement range of explosion-proof pt100 thermal resistor is -00~500 degrees. Commonly used are platinum resistors (Pt100, Pt10) and copper resistors Cu50 (-50-150 degrees).
2. The nature of the pt100 thermal resistor signal. The thermal resistor itself is a resistor. The change in temperature causes the resistor to produce a positive or negative resistance change; while the thermocouple produces a change in induced voltage, which changes with the change in temperature.
3. The temperature range detected by the two sensors of pt100 thermal resistor is different. The thermal resistor generally detects a temperature range of 0-150 degrees, and the maximum measurement range can reach about 600 degrees (of course, negative temperature can be detected).
