Causes and treatment methods of water leakage in air conditioners

1. The installation of wall mounted internal units is not horizontal, and the common reason is that the internal units are low on the left and high on the right.
Solution: Adjust the angle of the fixed wallboard horizontally again.
2. The connecting pipe of wall-mounted indoor unit is low inside and high outside the wall hole;
Solution: Re drilling (or reaming) adjust the angle of the through-wall hole to achieve high inside and low outside.
3. The position of the water outlet of the wall-mounted indoor unit is lower than the position of the through-wall hole, resulting in the inability of condensed water to flow out.
Solution: Increase the height of wallboard.
4. Water leakage caused by air conditioning drainage pipe problems
The inclination angle of the drainage pipe on the indoor unit side (wall mounted, cabinet type) is too small;
B. The drainage pipe is too long and the water flow is not smooth;
The drainage pipe is uneven and twisted;
D. The drain pipe (hose) is squeezed;
E. Broken and cracked drainage pipes;
F. The water outlet of the drainage pipe is inserted into the water;
The drain pipe joint is loose;
H. The drain pipe is blocked by foreign matters.
Carry out the following maintenance treatments according to different reasons:
A. Readjust the angle of the drainage pipe;
B. Try to shorten the length of the drainage pipe;
Reorganize the drainage pipe;
Clean up the compressed parts of the drainage pipe (hose);
Replace the drainage pipe;
Remove the drain pipe inserted into the water;
Reconnect the connector
H. Replace the drainage pipe or purge with fluorine liquid.
5. The galvanized plate used for conducting water for indoor units of air conditioners (three-fold evaporator and four-fold evaporator) is bent, deformed, or fallen off.
resolvent:
A. The galvanized plate is not assembled in place or falls off, so it should be reassembled
B. If the galvanized plate is bent or deformed, replace it.
The joint at the top of the evaporator is not good, causing air leakage. The cross flow fan absorbs the condensed water and directly drops it onto the cross flow fan, which blows it out again
D. The evaporator is not completely inserted into or close to the water tank, and the water does not flow into the water tank but into the "back plate"
E. Some manufacturers have design defects, such as the evaporator not completely falling into the sink, or some simply leveling with the top of the sink, causing the cross flow fan to suck in some of the water that should have completely flowed into the sink, or the cross flow fan, and spray it out through the vent! Problems like this cannot be solved unless a water baffle is installed.
6. Caused by problems with indoor air conditioning units
A. When the indoor mechanism of the air conditioner is cold, the air guide plate drips water;
B. High indoor and outdoor air humidity or large indoor and outdoor temperature difference;
A. The air deflector can be adjusted to a horizontal angle
B. The set wind speed is too low, and the indoor unit wind speed is caused by low speed, so set it to medium high wind.
7. The condensed water from the indoor unit is blown out by the wind wheel, causing water to spray at the air outlet.
A. The set wind speed is too low, and the indoor unit wind speed is caused by low speed, so set it to medium high wind.
Paste a flannelette insulation layer on the inner casing.
8. The indoor evaporator freezes, causing water leakage during deicing.
A. The system is deficient in fluorine and fluorinated;
B. Clean the air duct system;
C. If the wind speed is abnormal, adjust the wind speed to normal.
9. The insulation material at the connection pipe interface of the indoor unit is not wrapped in place, and condensed water is generated at the exposed part.
Completely wrap the exposed part of the connecting pipe with insulating material.
The insulation sleeve is too tightly wrapped and does not have the function of insulation and heat absorption
The thick tube is flattened, causing secondary throttling, and the surface temperature of the copper tube is too low. Normal insulation sleeves can no longer ensure condensation caused by excessive temperature differences.
10. There are condensation droplets on the exterior of the insulation layer of the indoor side connecting pipe, causing water droplets.
A. If the insulation layer material is poor (insufficient foam density, too thin material), thicken the insulation layer or replace the insulation material again;
B. The set temperature is too low and the wind speed is too low, which reduces the heat exchange capacity of the indoor unit. The temperature of the return pipe is too low, which leads to high indoor temperature and high humidity, resulting in long-term operation without shutdown. The above factors can be appropriately adjusted to improve;
C. If the surface of the drain pipe is too cold, causing condensation, an insulation layer can be added.
11. Cracks in the wall mounted (cabinet machine, embedded) water drain pan, and glue opening at the connection between the water drain pan and the drain pan.
Replace the drain pan;
Re-adhesive the drain pipe interface.
12. Others:
Water leakage of embedded indoor unit;
Poor water level switch;
The drainage pump motor is damaged;
The drain plug at the lower part of the indoor unit is not installed properly;
E. The vertical direction of the drainage pipe is greater than 200MM.
The installation drainage angle is poorly treated, and the drainage pipe cannot be bent less than or close to 90 degrees, nor can it be set with too many bends. The drainage pipe is made of PVC pipe material; The embedded internal unit is not installed horizontally, and the indoor unit level is adjusted again;
B. If the water level switch is poor (the water level switch does not reset), replace the water level switch;
The drainage pump is broken (the motor coil is open, and the motor does not operate). Replace the drainage pump motor;
Reinstall the plug;
E. The vertical direction of the drainage pipe is greater than 200MM, resulting in excessive water backflow when the pump is stopped, and the vertical distance is less than 200MM by arranging the pipeline.
