How to connect the thermocouple of the electric furnace to the wire

The thermocouple of the electric furnace is used to measure temperature, and correct wiring is the key to ensuring the normal operation of the electric furnace. Below is an introduction to the wiring method for thermocouples in electric furnaces.
1. Thermocouple head and thermocouple wire connection wiring
First, connect the thermocouple head to the thermocouple wire for wiring. Thermocouple heads are generally marked with colors, with red indicating the positive thermoelectric potential and silver indicating the negative thermoelectric potential. Connect the red wire to the red marking on the thermocouple head and the silver wire to the silver marking on the thermocouple head. Be sure to ensure a secure connection.
2. Thermocouple wire and temperature display instrument connection wiring
When connecting the thermocouple wire to the temperature display, the correct connection should also be made according to the color identification of the thermocouple head. Connect the red wire to the positive terminal of the temperature display, and the silver wire to the negative terminal of the temperature display. Similarly, ensure that the connection is secure.
3. Protecting thermocouple wires
To protect the thermocouple wires, insulation tape can be used to tie them at the connection to prevent loosening or breakage of the circuit. At the same time, if the circuit does not need to be too long, excess thermocouple wires can be cut off.
4. Regular inspections
To ensure the stability of thermocouple wiring, it is necessary to regularly check whether the wiring is loose or damaged. If poor wiring is found during use, it should be repaired or replaced in a timely manner.
5. Other precautions
During the process of connecting thermocouple wires, it is important to avoid contact between the thermocouple wires and the heating elements or other metal objects of the electric furnace, in order to avoid interference. At the same time, the thermocouple wires should be arranged separately from other wires to prevent signal interference.
6. Professional operation
Due to the electrical safety and high-temperature operation involved in the thermocouple wiring of the electric furnace, it is recommended that professional personnel carry out the wiring operation to ensure safety and reliability.
In short, the correct thermocouple wiring method is a prerequisite for ensuring the normal operation of the electric furnace. Following the correct wiring steps, protecting thermocouple wires, conducting regular inspections, and being operated by professional personnel can ensure the normal use of thermocouples and accurate temperature measurement.
