How to deal with a broken underfloor heating pipeline

When installing underfloor heating pipelines, water injection should be suppressed before backfilling, and damage (water leakage, pressure drop) should be observed for more than 24 hours. If there is any damage, it is recommended to lay the entire pipeline again.
If any damage is found during use,

(1) Firstly, determine the point of damage, usually using specialized instruments or observing ground humidity;

(2) Then cut the damaged ground and excavate the ground heating pipe;

(3) Understand pipeline materials: polyethylene - room temperature hot melt, PE-X series requires special fixtures or corrosion-resistant pipes that can be used for connection.

(4) Backfilling and restoring the ground.

A. Before hot melting, a professional pipe cutting machine should be used to vertically cut the pipeline at the leakage point. Before hot melting, the cut must be smooth and deburred.
Before the heating tube is melted, wipe the inner and outer walls of the heating tube with a dry cloth.

c. Use damaged pipes of the same brand and size, or pipe fittings with quality concerns for damaged pipes in Konod, Germany, for hot melting, equipped with a hot melting machine, and then heated by electricity.
First, use a soft pencil, and then use a hard pencil to draw a line at the hot melt end of the pipe according to the required length.

e. After heating to the specified time, quickly remove the pipes and fittings from the heating sleeve and heating head, and quickly insert the pipes into the specified depth of the fittings without rotation, in order to form a uniform flange at the joint and correct the hot welding head, but not rotate. Maintain a 180 degree angle between the fittings and the pipeline.

f. After reaching the specified time, perform a pressure test and use it without the need for pressure relief.
