Step 1: Unplug the socket and close both corner valves.
Step 2: Unscrew the hot water outlet nut and block the hot water outlet to prevent water from flowing out of the water heater. Step 3: Remove the hose connected to the cold water outlet, connect one end of the hose to the hot water outlet and the other end to the faucet. Open the faucet to fill for 1 minute, and plug the cold water outlet. Let the cold water stay in the tank for a while longer, then open the cold water outlet to drain water. Repeat for several times until the discharged water is clean.
Step 4: Screw on the nuts of the cold and hot water ports, open the triangular valve, and open the hot water from the faucet of the water heater. After the water flows out, close it.
