Short circuit causes and installation methods of single-head heating tubes

Single-ended heating elements are widely used in mold heating applications and other industrial heating equipment. However, low-quality, unmodified magnesium oxide powder can absorb moisture from the air, causing the heating element to short-circuit. However, this isn't always the cause of short-circuiting between the two leads of a single-ended heating element. The following are some possible causes of short-circuiting:
1. Using iron-chromium-aluminum (FeCrAl) as the lead wire increases the lead wire's temperature, resulting in an accident. Furthermore, exposure to air shifts the heating zone toward the lead wire end.
2. The rated voltage of the two lead wires causes a short circuit, resulting in excessively high temperatures.
3. Defects in the module drilling process can result in a flared mold hole, which impairs heat conduction and air flow.
4. The tube end is loose at the lead wire end, causing the two holes for the lead wire to be too close together.
5. Low-quality sealing silicone is too close to the first screw turn at the base of the lead wire. Single-ended electric heaters can be installed as follows:
1. Conventional single-ended electric heaters do not require special mounting fixtures and can be placed directly into the heating channel for heating, or secured with a bracket.
2. Baffled single-ended electric heaters generally require an aperture drilled in the mounting surface to allow the heater to pass through. The baffle provides support and fixation. Baffled single-ended electric heaters are installed horizontally or vertically. When installed horizontally, the baffle primarily protects the lead wires.
3. Threaded single-ended electric heaters require a threaded aperture drilled in the desired mounting area, which the heater can then securely attach to the desired location. The advantages of using threads include ease of installation and replacement, excellent sealing, and superior stability.
