Thermocouple production standards and technical conditions

Thermocouples are one of the most commonly used temperature detection sensors in industry, public use, experimentation, and scientific research, with high measurement accuracy. Thermocouples directly engage in combat with the measured medium, unaffected by adjacent links, and can be replaced by infrared thermometers. Thermocouples can continuously measure temperatures from -80 to+2300 ℃. Some special thermocouples may have a wider range, but they are not recommended for high temperatures.
The fundamental principle of thermocouple temperature measurement is to weld two conductors with different data together to form a closed circuit. Two different metals undergo thermoelectric potential under the influence of temperature, and the thermoelectric potential is usually stopped and reduced, and the numerical value is displayed through intelligent instruments, software, or other methods.
1. Thermocouple Part 1: Scale Table
Scale code: GB/T16839.1-1997
Scale content: Provides a scale table for converting thermocouple potential to its corresponding measured temperature and converting measured temperature to its corresponding thermocouple potential.
2. Thermocouple Part 2: Tolerance
Scale code: GB/T16839.2-1997
Scale content: Provided the production tolerance for precious metal and low-cost metal thermocouples related to electromotive force temperature correlation in the first department of scale. The tolerance value is applicable to thermocouples made of 0.25mm-3mm diameter wire materials that are delivered to users on a daily basis.
3. Technical prerequisites for industrial thermocouples
Scale code: JB/T9238-1999
Scale content: It specifies the technical requirements, experimental methods, testing rules, packaging, and labeling of industrial thermocouples. Applicable to industrial thermocouples that can be assembled and meet the tolerance requirements of GB/T16839.1-2 for graduation tables.
