Why should the electric heater be maintained regularly

Tracing tape is an electric heating insulation product, which is widely used in the field of pipeline and tank insulation. As it is an electric heat tracing insulation product, it needs routine maintenance or regular maintenance and inspection after installation and use. The purpose of maintenance and inspection is to find hidden problems and find solutions, which is conducive to the use of tracking belt and increase its service life.
The selection of tracking belt is not only an important work, but also cannot be ignored in regular inspection and maintenance. The following are the regular inspection and maintenance steps:
1. After the system is installed, the insulation resistance of each circuit must be measured before the initial use. Tracing system shall be put into operation in batches to avoid the impact caused by excessive starting current.
2. When the time used reaches the predetermined time interval, carry out the corresponding detection.
3. Preventive inspection of fault circuit can effectively protect the normal operation of the system. Mainly check the protective layer. The protective layer needs to check whether the outer protective layer of all thermal insulation materials of the tracing band is damaged, whether the sealing silica gel at the joint of the protective aluminum plate is intact, and whether the thermal insulation layer is loose and falling off.
4. All junction boxes in the tracing system must be checked, and the connection points and temperature controllers on each sleeve in the skid must be checked for moisture corrosion and erosion.
