The American Pig Expo is the world's largest professional pig farming exhibition, which will be held in Des Moines, Iowa, USA in June next year, and has been successfully held for 24 times.
463 famous companies from the United States and the world participated in the last exhibition, which attracted about 40000 insiders from 60 countries and regions to visit and negotiate.
In addition to the products and equipment of animal husbandry and veterinary industry related to the pig industry, the exhibition will also display pork products processing and other related industries and equipment.
During the exhibition, the organizer will also hold a number of special meetings, with international famous experts making on-site exchanges. The World Pig Expo is the best platform for relevant domestic government departments and enterprises to understand the development trend of the international market, the advanced technology of the industry and promote their own high-quality products.
In 2014, the U.S. breeding pig population expanded by 4% compared with the previous year, and the total number of commercial pigs increased by 2% (up 900000) year on year, while the output of piglets increased by 4% (up 1.1 million) from September to November. All indications are that pigs will increase.
In 2012, due to the arid climate, poor grain harvest and high feed prices, the pig breeding industry in the United States faced various problems. After a long period of decline, the US pig market has hit the bottom.
The free trade agreement will bring US $772 million in sales to the US pig industry.
The American Pork Producers Association (NPPC) highly praised the Congress for agreeing to sign free trade agreements with Colombia, Panama and South Korea. The signed agreement can bring 772 million dollars of pork sales to the United States.
Dermot Hayes, an economist at Iowa State University, said: "The free trade agreement will bring benefits to pig producers of 11 dollars more than the price of each pig on the market, and can create 10000 jobs for the pig industry." Doug Wolf, chairman of NPPC, said: "These agreements will bring benefits to pig producers, the United States economy and the United States job market.
The signing of these free trade agreements is also a breakthrough in the US pig industry. " The signing of these agreements can greatly help the American pig industry, especially the free trade agreement with South Korea. In December 2012, the United States and Asian countries encountered obstacles in automobile trade. The US pig industry agreed to extend the time limit for exporting pork to South Korea at zero tariff. After these agreements are signed, NPPC will organize rural communes to carry out various activities.
