There are generally the following differences between gas pipeline heaters and liquid pipeline heaters due to the differences in heating medium states:
1. Heating medium: The heating medium for gas pipeline heaters is generally special medium such as nitrogen, argon, ammonia, helium, compressed air, or heating above 300 ℃. The heating medium for liquid pipeline heaters is generally oil based media such as water, asphalt, and thermal oil.
2. Design size: Because the specific heat capacity of media such as water and oil is larger than that of normal gas, while ensuring constant flow factors, the liquid will more easily carry away the heat on the surface of the heating pipe. Therefore, gas pipeline heaters with the same power will have more heating pipes and larger overall dimensions than liquid pipeline heaters.
3. Material selection: The selection of materials for gas heaters, liquid pipeline heaters, and high-temperature pipeline heaters will depend on the selection of heating media, such as the cylinder and heating pipe materials; The conventional ones include SUS304, Q235, SUS316, and SUS310S.
4. Sewage outlet: The heating medium of the gas pipeline heater generally has no impurities, so it is not normal to set up a sewage outlet; The liquid pipeline heater needs regular cleaning and maintenance, so a drain outlet will be designed at the bottom of the heater.
