Maxell May Become The World's First Manufacturer Of Mass Produced Large Capacity Solid-state Batteries, And The Industrialization Process Continues To Advance

According to media reports, Maxell, a Japanese battery manufacturer, will begin mass production of large capacity all solid-state batteries for industrial machinery and other purposes this summer, becoming the first manufacturer in the world to mass produce large capacity all solid-state batteries.
Currently, lithium ion batteries have been widely used in portable electronic devices and electric vehicles. However, the energy density of traditional lithium ion batteries based on oxide positive electrodes and graphite negative electrodes is increasingly approaching its theoretical upper limit. Due to its characteristics, solid-state batteries have advantages such as high safety, small size, and high energy density. Currently, the single energy density of lithium iron phosphate batteries used in the market is about 120-140Wh, and the single energy density of ternary batteries is about 130-220Wh. However, the energy density provided by solid-state batteries is about 300-400Wh, far exceeding that of traditional batteries.
The securities firm pointed out that solid state batteries are expected to become the upgrade direction of the next generation battery system, and semi solid state batteries are expected to take the lead in industrialization. It is recommended to pay attention to Shanghai Xiba, Gaole Co., Ltd., Jinlongyu, Dangsheng Technology, Ganfeng Lithium Industry (Non ferrous), etc.
